Semester Break
Dear Friends,
As the semester exams are closing in, we would like to announce temporary closure of SPBS.
But that doesn't mean you're off the hook from our activities!
Look out for upcoming Santi Forest Retreat and Venerable Thubten Chodron's visit to BS in April.
If you do need to seek us out, please drop us an email or leave a comment.
And until the next semester, use the upcoming holidays to practice giving, training your morality and get down to some serious mental cultivation.
Don't worry, you'll still be hearing from us.
And in the meantime,

So what's cookin?
Hello DEAR FRIENDS,
It's that time of the year again.
SPBS is going to hold its Annual General Meeting on 19 January 2009 (MONDAY).
Location: T1751
Time: 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
But WHAT exactly is an AGM, you may ask?
But WHAT exactly is an AGM, you may ask?- Well, it is basically a formal meeting to inform members about events that has taken place over the accounting year.
- And to give some insight on the financial status of a company.
- It is a common practice for all organizations.
Well that's cool and all, but what's the point?
The point is my friends, it serves as a reflection point for our society. It is for our members to judge whether we're on track to our Goals.
It is also for you to ask questions and you may even raise issues concerning the club. Who your thoughts and feedback could very well serve to strengthen our cause.
So why wait until you've graduated and join a company to see an AGM?
Witness how things are done systematically in an organization and play an ACTIVE part now!
And remember, its a formal affair.

SPBS will be assisting in the house cleaning for the elderly living alone in 1 - 2 room flats, with ‘Sarah Senior Activity Centre’, with responds to the Community Service program launched by the Town Council for Chinese New Year.
These old people lived alone, depending on themselves.
